Ordering Scaledecks Products
We sell our products on both eBay and Amazon.com, in the United States and internationally, so you can use whichever platform you prefer. Both include free domestic US Postage. We often promote sales and discounts on eBay. See the sections below for special notes on eBay, Amazon, and Special Orders.
(For those of you in the European Union, ordering from Scaledecks.eu would probably make sense for postage and tax considerations.)
In all cases, decks are actually shipped rolled up in a crush-proof box via First Class Postage. Don't worry - our wood is so thin that it is rolled when stored at the mill, and rolled when it goes through our printers! The crush-proof box is more rigid and protects the decks far better than shipping them flat, where they often get "folded" when placed between other heavy boxes.
Notes on Buying on Amazon.com
Domestic Orders:
For orders inside the United States, we usually ship same or next day, meaning that your order should arrive within a few business days. All other packages are shipped FREE via First Class Postage.
International Orders:
On Amazon, we simply ship the item via First Class International Postage. If your country imposes taxes, the package will often be held at the post office requiring you to pay the additional customs fee before you can pick it up. (This may result in less out-of-pocket costs for you, but you have to take the time to go to the post office and pay the customs fees.)
Notes on Buying on eBay
Domestic Orders:
For orders inside the United States, we usually ship same or next day, meaning that your order should arrive within a few business days. All other packages are shipped FREE via First Class Postage.
International Orders:
On eBay, we use the Global Shipping Program, so shipping fees and taxes are built in. When the product is sold, eBay will invoice you for a total amount, and you pay international shipping and taxes to them. We just ship the product to eBay and they forward it on to you, and it arrives at your door fully pre-paid. You will know all fees and taxes up front.
Note on WW2 German National Markings:
eBay has requested that we not sell product with swastikas pre-printed into the wood decks. Yes, their policy says that "historically accurate markings on model kits" are allowed to be sold, but they would prefer that I not list them anyway. So if you are looking for decks with beautifully rendered historic German national insignia, then you'll have to buy those on Amazon.com as they are not listed on eBay.

If you are looking for a special deal - perhaps you are buying multiple decks, or need to do something out of the ordinary - you can send an e-mail to johnd@scaledecks.com to let us know what you have in mind. We will do our best to accomodate you. Normally, in these circumstances, we send you a PayPal invoice that you can pay with your PayPal account or a credit card. We con't collect your payment information, and PayPal guarantees your purchase, so you are always protected.
